OVERVIEW
Tech Consulting is a leading provider of technology solutions and services, connecting top-tier IT professionals with global enterprises. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Infrastructure Manager to oversee and manage IT infrastructure operations across multiple sites, including the USA, UK, India, and remote employees worldwide. This role requires expertise in Office 365, cloud and on-prem environments, Azure, Heroku, multi-site security, and firewalls.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, implementing, and managing global IT infrastructure while ensuring security, scalability, and operational excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Global IT Infrastructure Management:

• Maintain, optimize, and secure IT infrastructure across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments for multiple locations worldwide.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of global IT systems, including network devices, storage, virtualization platforms, and endpoint management.
• Provide infrastructure support to both physical offices and remote employees across multiple time zones.

Cloud & On-Prem Expertise:

• Oversee and manage cloud computing environments, particularly Azure, AWS and Heroku, ensuring seamless deployment, scalability, and security.
• Maintain on-premises IT infrastructure, including Windows/Linux servers, Active Directory, and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Ensure Office 365 ecosystem (Exchange, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint) is optimized for global collaboration and security.

Networking & Security:

• Design, implement, and manage enterprise-grade firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, etc.) in a multi-site, multi-cloud environment.
• Ensure network security, VPN access, and endpoint protection are enforced to safeguard against cyber threats.
• Manage and optimize global WAN, LAN, SD-WAN, and cloud networking across various regions.
• Conduct security audits, vulnerability assessments, and ensure compliance with data protection regulations (GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST, etc.).

Infrastructure Automation & Monitoring:

• Implement automated deployment, configuration management, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) solutions using PowerShell, Python, Ansible, or Terraform.
• Set up proactive monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions (Splunk, Prometheus, Nagios, or SolarWinds) to detect and resolve infrastructure issues.

Vendor & Budget Management:

• Evaluate and negotiate software licensing, internet utilities, and IT procurement for optimal cost-efficiency.
• Develop and manage annual IT budgets, cost audits, and asset tracking to ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Work closely with vendors, procurement teams, and finance to ensure smooth IT operations and budget compliance.

Team Leadership & Training Support:

• Lead and mentor a lean Infrastructure Admin team, comprising of 1 resource at each site and ensuring optimal resource utilization.
• Plan and manage IT inventory, ensuring timely return and allocation of equipment for new hires and training batches.
• Provide technical guidance and best practices to IT staff and non-technical teams

Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity:

• Design and maintain disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity plans for critical IT systems across multiple regions.
• Regularly test and validate backup and recovery solutions to ensure resilience against outages and security incidents.

Compliance & IT Best Practices:

• Ensure adherence to ITIL framework, change management, and governance policies.
• Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats, cloud trends, and IT best practices to enhance infrastructure security and efficiency.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management across global multi-site environments.

Technical Skills & Expertise:

• Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux server administration, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and enterprise networking.
• Extensive experience with AWS, Azure & Heroku cloud environments (VMs, PaaS, Kubernetes, serverless computing, etc.).
• Hands-on expertise in firewall configuration, network security, VPNs, and endpoint protection.
• Experience managing Office 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, Defender, etc.).
• Proficiency in PowerShell, Python, Terraform, or Ansible for automation and configuration management.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Benchmarks, GDPR, SOC 2 compliance, etc.).
• Experience with IT monitoring/logging tools (Splunk, Nagios, Prometheus, SolarWinds).

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across time zones.
• Proven experience in mentoring IT teams and working cross-functionally with business stakeholders.
