Progressive Infotech - Test Engineer - Manual Testing (5-6 yrs)

Responsibilities :

- Design and develop test cases based on available requirement specifications and verification plans, execute test cases.

- Prepare detailed defects report.

- Good knowledge of manual testing through test case estimation, test case preparation, and test reporting.

- Good exposure to ad hoc testing, Functional testing, Regression testing, Re-testing, Smoke testing, and Non-functional testing.

- Very good at completing the assigned testing tasks on time.

- Ability to learn and implement quickly.

- Good communication skills and documentation skills.

- Good to have knowledge in both Web application and Mobile application testing, test management

tools, defect management tools, and test metrics.

- Experience with the creation of automation frameworks from scratch in programming languages like Java and JavaScript.

- Familiar with working in a BDD environment and configuring/running the tests in a Devops pipeline.

- Hands-on experience in fixing NodeJS/Java-related issues in test automation scripts.

- Proficient in using Selenium Web Driver.

- Strong at user acceptance testing.

- Automate functional testing in sprint and maintain regression packages.

- Understand and apply industry best practices, foster knowledge sharing to provide solutions for

complex business problems where no precedent may exist, and ensure implementation of solutions where appropriate.

- Relentless focus on delivering business value through sound engineering methods and principles such as TMMi/TPI Next.

- Must have hands-on: JIRA, Confluence.

- Proven work experience in software development.

- Proven work experience in software quality assurance.

- 4+ years of experience with automated functional testing tools, preferably Selenium.

- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

- Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.

- Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing.

- Hands-on experience with automated testing tools.

- Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting.

- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.

- Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus.

Qualification : Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
