Quality Engineer

Position Summary: The Quality Engineer II is an integral player within our decentralized scrum team. They will actively participate in agile testing processes, work in sync with business and technology stakeholders, and contribute to regression automation using our established automation framework. Ideal candidates are those who value teamwork, are committed to ensuring the highest product quality, and can operate with a degree of autonomy.

Key Responsibilities:

Agile Testing Participation:

• Actively engage in the agile testing process, aiding in timely defect detection.
• Collaborate with Product Owner, Scrum Master, and Team to refine business requirements.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Engage actively within the decentralized scrum process, participating in daily stand-ups, sprint planning sessions, retrospectives, and sprint reviews. Facilitate seamless collaboration across global teams for unified quality objectives.
• Actively participating in Agile ceremonies and be the QA Voice

Regression Automation Assistance:

• Support the initiation and execution of regression tests using an established automation framework.
• Assist in the design, development, and upkeep of automated test scripts.

Quality Assurance:

• Uphold best practices in quality assurance within the team.
• Participate in initiatives that enhance testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Consistently aim for the highest quality throughout the software development cycle.

Proactive Involvement:

• Work proactively, showcasing a commitment to the QA projects and processes.
• Identify and communicate potential areas of improvement within the QA process.

Test Automation Development

• Leverage Tricentis Tosca to design, develop, and maintain automated test cases for functional, regression, and integration testing.
• Utilize Tosca's Model-Based Test Automation to create reusable and scalable test cases.
• Configure Tosca components such as TestCases, Modules, and TestData, aligning with the application under test (AUT).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, or relevant work experience.
• 3+ years of experience in quality assurance or in IT.
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies, especially scrum.
• Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Good analytical and organizational abilities.
