Role Overview:

- We are looking for a dynamic Senior Product Manager to lead the development of our Platform AI/ML capabilities.

- You will collaborate with teams to define the vision for AI/ML-driven solutions, ensuring understanding of Avalara's our goals and customer needs.

- You will be reporting to Director Product Management.

Roles:

- Define the vision for AI/ML capabilities within Avalara's platform.

- Experience in managing end-to-end product lifecycle in an Agile environment.

- You will develop the product roadmap, ensuring understanding of organizational goals.

- You will collaborate with engineering, data science, and design teams to provide scalable AI/ML solutions.

- Promote the integration of AI/ML features across Avalara's product portfolio, enhancing customer experience and outcomes.

- Partner with team members, including product, engineering, and go-to-market teams, to gather requirements and prioritize programs.

- Communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Work with data science teams to identify use cases, define models, and measure the performance of AI/ML programs.

- Stay updated on the latest advancements in AI/ML and recommend approaches to enhance the platform.

- Engage with customers to understand pain points, needs, and feedback.

- Advocate for AI/ML solutions that solve real-world customer challenges and deliver tangible value.

Qualifications:

- 10+ years of experience in product management, with at least 2+ years focused on AI/ML or data platforms.

- Strong technical background with a solid understanding of AI/ML concepts, frameworks, and technologies.

- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and data pipeline tools.

- Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable product strategies.

- Familiarity with tools like SQL, Python, or similar for data analysis.

- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and microservices architecture.

- Knowledge of frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, or similar.
