Civil Procurement Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Procurement: Overseeing the procurement process for materials and services, including creating, managing, and tracking purchase orders
• Negotiation: Negotiating contracts with suppliers, including reviewing bid documents, selecting bidders, and negotiating prices
• Sourcing: Developing sourcing plans, reviewing engineering drawings, and interviewing prospective suppliers
• Inventory management: Reconciling stock discrepancies with suppliers, reordering levels as needed, and analyzing inventory and cost reports
• Research: Analyzing, researching, and recommending alternative sources of supply
• Relationship management: Managing relationships with vendors and suppliers
• Policy development: Developing purchasing policies and procedures
• Performance reporting: Preparing performance reports
