Data Engineer

Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: Maintaining, enhancing and supporting a data & analytic ecosystem in the cloud Full stack data engineer who is well versed in data architecture, ingestion, transformation, storage, analytics, processing, and consumption. Acquire good BU domain knowledge and facilitate the growth of domain knowledge throughout the technical teams. Have a problem solving and analytical mindset Good communication skills, ability to persuade and clearly identify audiences. Utilizes good judgment when and how to communicate. Understands and adheres to development methodology, standards and principles. Identifies potential process improvements. Performs Impact analysis - ensures system changes meet business requirements Helps others to innovate and create through inquiries Generating an environment of competition by holding brainstorming and ideating sessions for improved execution. Begins to establish business and customer expectations and relationships May have complete ownership and direct a system/function/process Creating technical documentation around business requirements with clarity, completeness and specificity. Develop planning/organizational, problem-solving, time management, decision-making skills Continuous learning and fail-fast mindset Qualifications Education: Graduate - Bachelors degree (any stream) Skills set: Experience in learning and adapting to multiple data related cloud services, programming languages, development & consumption tools, and architecture frameworks Cloud Platforms - Microsoft Azure is must; AWS is good to have Cloud Technologies - PaaS technologies within the Microsoft Azure Stack. PowerShell for scripting. Database Design (SQL, NoSQL, JSON, and file) Data Ingestion, Transformation, Storage, Analysis (data understanding & mapping), Processing, and Consumption Ingestion & Transformation - Streaming technologies, Azure Data Factory (ADF) & SSIS, Databricks Structured & Unstructured Data Stores - Azure SQL Data Warehouse & Azure Data Lake Analysis, Processing & Consumption Spark Advanced SQL Synapse Data Visualization - Microsoft PowerBI R & Python (understanding not knowledge) Understanding of Snowflake Other: Must have: Education: Graduate - Bachelor s degree (any stream) Other: Strong technical skills. Knowledge of SDLC. Good aptitude, positive attitude, strong reasoning and communication skills. Must be a good team player. Good analytical skills and research oriented.
