Job Description
- Work with key stakeholders to align on modeling requirements, performance metrics, and boundary conditions
- Build and pre-process models , mesh, solve, post process, and analyze results
- Run parametric studies to optimize the performance
- Present findings to thermal engineers and management to identify problem areas and opportunities to improve design for cost, power, and cooling efficiency
- Establish new processes, and maintain consistent modeling practices within the CFD team
- 9+ years of industry experience in modelling liquid cooling systems and thermal design, or equivalent expertise.
- Proven experience in CFD modeling liquid cooling for electronics including fluid flow and heat transfer analysis. Experience with FEA modeling, ideally in ANSYS for part deformation.
- Proficient in using Star CCM+ and specialized tools like Icepak or FloTHERM for advanced thermal modelling and simulation.
- Strong experience with CAD software, particularly CREO, ensuring precision in design and execution for cooling solutions.
- Bachelors/Masters degree in mechanical engineering with a focus on CFD
- Experience with liquid cooling in servers. Knowledge of cooling requirements for GPU s and CPU s
