Role Overview:
- The Key Account Manager will focus on building and maintaining strong relationships with key automotive accounts, particularly in the machinery and manufacturing sectors.
- The role requires a deep understanding of the automotive supply chain, machinery, and manufacturing processes to align solutions with client needs.
- The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in managing large accounts and driving revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key automotive clients, including OEMs and Tier 1/2 suppliers.
- Act as the primary contact for clients, ensuring exceptional communication and service.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling machinery and testing solutions.
- Achieve sales targets and revenue goals through effective account management.
- Prepare and negotiate proposals, agreements, and contracts to close sales successfully.
- Understand clients' manufacturing processes and challenges to offer tailored testing solutions
- Conduct detailed needs assessments and recommend suitable machinery to enhance client operations
- Analyze trends in the automotive and manufacturing sectors to identify new business opportunities.
- Monitor competitor activity and market developments to stay ahead of industry shifts.
- Work closely with engineering, production, and customer support teams to deliver customized solutions.
- Ensure seamless installation, training, and after-sales support in collaboration with service teams.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to maximize revenue potential.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales activities, and performance metrics using CRM tools.
- Provide regular reports and sales forecasts to management.
Required skills & Qualifications:
Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of machinery and manufacturing processes in the automotive sector.
- Proven experience in managing and expanding key accounts, particularly OEMs and suppliers.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and create strategies.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and proficiency in MS Office tools.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in key account management, sales, specifically in the machinery and manufacturing industry.
- Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and managing large accounts.
- Prior experience in handling large-scale automotive clients or projects is preferred.
