Presales Head-Data Center Services


Summary
The Presales Head of data center services is an experienced engineer and business manager
with capability to earn customers trust by stitching a tecno-commercial solution that not only
exceeds (or at least meets) customer requirement but also protects Sify and its
investor/stakeholders interests.
The most suitable candidate would be a hands-on electrical/mechanical/civil engineer with
complex engineering design / deployment / maintenance / operations management and prior
business development experience.
The role is a contributing manager and will own full responsibilities towards hyperscale accounts
and will be accountable for enterprise accounts through their team.

Job Responsibilities
• Responsible for presales solution designing, RFP (Request for Proposal), and continuous
improvement, leveraging a data-driven approach for hyperscale & enterprise customers.
• Responsible for developing a customized solution based on Build-to-Suite, Colocation &
Hyperscalers, Enterprise customers, Hosting solutions & various service offerings for
individual clients' requirements.
• Responsible for client RFP response, compliance documents, and submittals as
required.
• Responsible for Customers SLA (Service Level Agreements) provisioning, KPIs as
applicable, and deliverables from the initiation with the client to the handover stage.
• Responsible and is aware of Design pre-requisites in coordination with the SME’s for
each discipline internally to provide the solution offered to the client as a combined
package offered to the client.
• Develop Service offering Models and Pricing mechanism
• Stays updated on relevant industry, technology, and market trends and combines this
with a needs analysis of prospective customers and market segments to identify winning
propositions that deliver to the business unit objectives of revenue, retention,
innovation.
• Meet with customers to discuss their evolving needs and to assess the quality of our
company’s relationship with them.
• Implement market definition and discovery studies and analysis of the findings.
• Develop pricing strategies, balancing firm objectives and customer satisfaction.
• Manage new features or Solutions development projects following internal Time to
Market (TTM) methodology.
• Ensure high levels of quality and the customer experience in launched Solutions through
documented, simple, and well-tested sales, provisioning, and support processes

Skills Required
• In depth understanding of data center engineering and design components
• Having worked with Data Center Hyperscale/Colocation players, Enterprise customers
in the past is necessary with solutioning background.
• Ideal candidate should have migrated from Design, Delivery to Presales.
• Experience in managing the Data Centre portfolio is mandatory.
• Knowledge of principles and requirements for Hyperscale/Collocation Data Centre
Solution services.
• Knowledge in Data Centre design and project management.
• Certification by a recognized professional body will be an added advantage.
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Strong decision-making abilities
• Strong gravitas for CXO level interaction
• Demonstrate business, financial, legal acumen
• Demonstrate ability to navigate ambiguity and complexity with ease
• Outward mindset driven by data, not biases
Other Details
• Minimum Qualification - Engineering Degree from a recognized university.
• Preferred Qualification – Masters in Business Administration
• Years of Experience: – 15+ Years

• Location: Rabale, Navi Mumbai
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with good listening and
critical reasoning skills.
• Reporting to CEO, Sify Infinit Spaces Limited
