Prep.Study - SAP ABAP Consultant - MM/FI/SD Module (7-10 yrs)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP ABAP Functional Resource with 7-10 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAP ABAP functionalities and prior experience in SAP consulting, which will be considered an added advantage. The individual will play a key role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions by advising the team, analyzing the impact of changes, and validating development efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Functional Expertise in SAP ABAP:

- Understand and analyze the functionalities and features of SAP ABAP.

- Serve as the primary advisor to the team on best practices and efficient use of the platform.

- Translate business requirements into functional specifications for technical teams.

2. Requirement Gathering and Change Management:

- Work closely with stakeholders to define new requirements and enhancements.

- Evaluate the impact of proposed changes on existing systems and processes.

- Develop and maintain detailed documentation for requirements and functional changes.

3. Development Validation and Testing :

- Validate development efforts to ensure they align with functional requirements.

- Collaborate with the SAP team to test and approve system modifications and enhancements.

- Conduct impact analysis for changes and ensure proper implementation without disruption.

4. Advisory and Support :

- Act as a liaison between business users and the SAP development team.

- Provide guidance on leveraging SAP ABAP functionalities to optimize business processes.

- Train and mentor team members on SAP ABAP usage and best practices.

5. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management :

- Partner with cross-functional teams, including IT, business, and SAP consultants.

- Ensure alignment of technical solutions with business objectives.

- Manage communication between internal teams and external SAP vendors.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

Experience :

- 7-10 years of hands-on experience with SAP ABAP and its functionalities.

- Prior experience in SAP consulting is highly desirable.

Technical and Functional Knowledge :

- Strong understanding of SAP ABAP programming concepts and best practices.

- Knowledge of core SAP modules (e.g., SD, MM, FI, CO) and their integration with ABAP.

- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:

- Ability to analyze complex business processes and identify optimization opportunities.

- Strong problem-solving skills to address issues during development and implementation.

Communication and Stakeholder Management :

- Excellent communication skills to interact with business and technical teams.

- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and prioritize competing demands.

Other Skills :

- Experience in requirement gathering, impact analysis, and documentation.

- Proficiency in testing, validation, and quality assurance processes.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Certification in SAP ABAP or related SAP modules.

- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA or cloud-based SAP solutions.

- Exposure to Agile methodologies and project management practices.
