Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payables (AP):
- Manage and oversee the AP team, ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and payments.
- Review, validate, and approve high-value payments in line with company policies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, resolving any disputes or discrepancies promptly.
- Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and financial regulations, including GST/TDS filings (or equivalent).
Accounts Receivables (AR):
- Oversee the AR team, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, collections, and cash application.
- Monitor outstanding balances and implement effective strategies to reduce outstanding.
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve billing disputes and enhance customer relationships.
- Develop and implement credit risk management policies. Financial Analysis and Reporting:
- Prepare and present AP/AR aging reports and performance metrics to senior management.
- Analyze trends, identify process inefficiencies, and implement improvements to enhance operational performance.
- Assist in monthly/quarterly/yearly closing activities, ensuring all AP/AR-related entries are accurate and complete.
Leadership and Compliance:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing AP/AR team.
- Ensure adherence to corporate policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Support audits and provide necessary documentation as required.
- Stay updated on changes in financial laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's or CA preferred).
- 8+ years of relevant experience in managing AP/AR processes.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP or equivalent) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments and with external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid understanding of financial regulations and compliance standards.
