Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Capital Markets SME with a deep understanding of Capital Markets Industry including Trading & Investment Banking, Custody & Fund Management, Treasury, Brokerage & Asset Management. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in providing and structuring solutions for Global Capital Markets and Capital Markets Platforms and familiarity with underlying Capital Markets products & services, and the ability to collaborate effectively with fintech partners. As a Capital Markets SME, the person would play a critical role in shaping our industry initiatives.

• Should have a mix of Product / Solutioning / Pre-sales and technology services experience in Capital Markets.
• Should have an MBA or equivalent degree from reputed institutes.
• 16+ years of experience, in Financial Services (primarily in Trading & Investment Banking & Investment Management).
• Should have deep expertise in areas like Front/ Middle/ Back Office functions, Market Data, Collateral Management, Treasury, Liquidity Management, Clearing & Settlement, Brokerage, Fund Management, Exchanges & Market Intermediaries, Risk & Compliance.
• Experience across Asset Management (Buy Side) of business as well is preferred.
• Should be able to drive client discussions and manage proposals, RFPs/RFIs, proactive opportunity creation.
• Should be experience on Capital Market Platforms. (E.g. Murex, Calypso, Kondor+, Charles River, Aladdin etc.)
• Fintech / Capital Markets Technology / Product Skill Set with relevant Project experience.
• Engagement Experience with Investment Banks, Asset Managers and Financial Services organizations globally
• Ideal candidate should be able to consult with clients offering their subject matter expertise in Capital Markets, Investment Banking & Investment Management functions

Responsibilities:

1. Capital Markets Processes:

• Lead the establishment of Capital Markets practice from scratch, including defining the technology stack, architecture, and operational processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Capital Market Services.

2. Capital Markets Value Chain:

• Possess a deep understanding of the Capital Markets value chain across front, middle and back office.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization, systems modernization and efficiency enhancements across the value chain.
• Deep understanding of risk (market, credit & operational) and compliance aspects in capital markets (Example: MiFID, EMIR, MiFID II, Basel, IFRS9)

3. Product Knowledge:

• Be well-versed in underlying Capital Markets COTS products, Investment, trading & treasury platform including Murex, Calypso, Kondor+, Charles River, Aladdin etc.
• Application of AI and other technology innovations in Capital Markets

4. Fintech Collaboration:

• Collaborate with fintech partners to enhance Capital Market offerings.
• Evaluate and onboard relevant fintech solutions to augment our digital services.
• Stay updated on emerging fintech trends and technologies.

5. Technical Expertise:

• Provide technical insights to development teams during the implementation of Digital Capital Market solutions.
• Ensure alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

6. Stakeholder Management:

• Engage with internal stakeholders (business, IT, compliance, risk) to drive digital transformation initiatives.
• Communicate effectively with external partners and vendors.

Qualifications:

• Education: MBA (Financial Services) / Computer Sciences
• Certifications (Desired): Relevant certifications in Capital Markets domain (Example. FRM, CFA, PRM etc.)

Desired Skills:

• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in Capital Market platforms, APIs, and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with cloud-based solutions and security protocols.
• Knowledge of data analytics and business intelligence tools.
• Domain Expertise:
• Experience in transforming traditional Investment Banks and FS providers into digital-first institutions.
• Understanding of regulatory compliance and risk management in Capital Markets.
• Collaboration Skills:
• Ability to work closely with fintech partners, negotiate contracts, and build strong relationships.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
