Assistant Manager Purchase

Job Title: Assistant Manager - Purchase (Solar Industry)
Location: Makarpura, Vadodara, Gujarat
Education: Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field
Experience: 3 to 8 years in electrical procurement (Solar industry preferred)

Key Responsibilities

• Manage electrical procurement activities for solar projects, including PV panels, inverters, raw materials, and other components.
• Source reliable suppliers and develop strong vendor relationships to negotiate prices, improve quality, and enhance supply chain efficiency.
• Plan and execute purchase orders for raw materials, components, and finished goods using ERP systems like SCM.
• Track stock movements, monitor inventory levels, and optimize storage capacity to meet project requirements.
• Implement cost optimization strategies to reduce expenses without compromising quality or service levels.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to meet project deadlines.
• Address and resolve supply chain issues promptly to avoid project delays.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure compliance with company policies and project specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement with operational and project needs.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of procurement and vendor management principles, including negotiation techniques and contract administration.
• Proficiency in ERP systems such as SCM and tools like MS Office and Tally.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of raw material procurement processes and inventory management.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in electrical procurement; solar energy industry experience is highly preferred.
