We are seeking a candidate who takes pride in driving product quality and yield within our CM manufacturing partners. As a Product Engineer, you will engage with Manufacturing, Engineering, Platform Design, CM Partners and other business functions. You will have the opportunity to work with some of the smartest engineering, manufacturing and technical leaders in the industry.
What You ll Do
Manage and drive quality metrics and improvement activities (yields, bone pile, scrap rates, component fallout). Line stops / purges / quality issues leadership. Conduct manufacturing process audits and closures. Provide vendor Scorecard and Quality Business Review (QBR) inputs Drive timely implementation of Change Orders (Agile) Provide quoting review and input, NRE tooling review and approval, PO generation Ensure purchase, procurement and release of testing infrastructure to support new and sustaining products. Context Engineering Management, assessment of manufacturing personnel technical capability. Manage test infrastructure requirements and ensure factory capacity capability. Factory readiness for New Product launches Identify and drive process improvement, cycle times reduction and lean activities Improve manufacturing operations processes and actively enhance efficiency, consistency, cost avoidance and customer satisfaction. Develop process and/or best practice documentation. Address Return Rate (RMA) and customer complaints. DRT participation and leadership. Actively work with the Defect Reduction Team to identify product issues and drive resolutions. Interface/engage with Engineering, Platform Engineering, Manufacturing and CM partners. Establish technical direction through the investigation and evaluation of new test technologies. Ensure that production site receives the required level of product training. Work in conformance to established manufacturing test processes and procedures.
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in contract manufacturing environment, preferably in a high mix, low volume PCBA environment as well as box build. BS or MS degree required. Strong leadership capability
