Technical Writer (6-10 yrs)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Technical Writer to join our Technical Publishing Team. The ideal candidate will translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation for a variety of audiences, including developers, end-users, and business stakeholders. Your role will involve creating, maintaining, and improving technical content, such as user manuals, API documentation, release notes, FAQs, and training materials.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Content Development :

- Create and maintain technical documentation, including user guides, API documentation, installation guides, and system architecture overviews.

- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather technical information and ensure accuracy.

2. Collaboration :

- Work closely with developers, product managers, UX/UI designers, and support teams to understand and document software features.

- Act as a bridge between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders to ensure clear communication.

3. Content Review and Improvement :

- Edit and proofread documentation to ensure clarity, consistency, and adherence to company standards.

- Continuously update documentation to reflect new features, updates, and bug fixes.

4. Tool and Resource Management :

- Utilize documentation tools like visio, publisher, adobe or similar platforms.

- Manage version control of documentation in repositories like Git.

5. User-Centric Approach :

- Develop content that aligns with the needs of diverse audiences, from highly technical developers to non-technical end-users.

- Incorporate visuals, diagrams, and flowcharts to enhance understanding.

6. Training and Support Materials :

- Create quick-start guides, FAQs, and e-learning materials to facilitate user onboarding.

- Assist in creating training modules for internal teams.

Qualifications :

1. Education and Experience :

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field.

- 8+ years of experience in technical writing for software products or technology services.

2. Technical Skills :

- Proficiency in technical writing tools such as Confluence, MS Word, Adobe Acrobat, or others.

- Familiarity with software development processes, such as Agile and Scrum.

- Basic knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, or JavaScript) or API tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger) is a plus.
