ABOUT US:

JOB OVERVIEW:

To develop, implement, and manage comprehensive security, vigilance, and liaison programs, ensuring the safety of employees, assets, and operations while fostering positive relationships with external stakeholders, regulatory authorities, and local communities. The incumbent will also handle investigations into internal complaints to uphold compliance and ethical practices.

HR and Legal teams, Internal Audit and Compliance team, Site Leadership teams


KEY STAKEHOLDERS: EXTERNAL

Law enforcement agencies, Security service providers, Industry associations, Local communities


REPORTING STRUCTURE:

The incumbent will report to AVP HR & Admin


QUALIFICATION:

  • Bachelors/Masters degree in any discipline (preferred: Criminology, Law, or Security Management).
  • Certification in investigations, compliance, or fraud detection (e.g., CFE Certified Fraud Examiner) is desirable.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 15-20 years of progressive experience in security, vigilance, and liaison roles, preferably in manufacturing or pharmaceutical sectors including minimum of 5 years in a leadership role

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Strong networking and negotiation skills with external stakeholders, including government and regulatory bodies.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for managing both internal and external interactions.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead security teams and manage large-scale operations.
  • Analytical Thinking: Proficient in risk assessment, fraud detection, and problem-solving.
  • Crisis Management: Expertise in managing emergencies and minimizing operational disruptions.
  • Ethical Integrity: Uphold confidentiality and impartiality in investigations and reporting.
  • Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with security technologies, CCTV systems, and data analysis tools.


KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES


Security Management:

  • Develop and oversee the implementation of security strategies for all locations.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to safeguard assets and personnel.
  • Ensure effective functioning of security systems, including CCTV and access control.
  • Manage contracts with third-party security service providers and ensure compliance with SLAs.

Vigilance and Compliance:

  • Establish a vigilance framework to address fraud, theft, and unethical practices.
  • Conduct internal audits and surprise checks to assess policy compliance.
  • Drive awareness initiatives on ethical conduct and organizational policies.
  • Liaisoning Responsibilities: Build and maintain strong relationships with local law enforcement, government officials, and regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure timely approvals for licenses, permits, and compliance certifications.
  • Represent Piramal Pharma in industry associations and local administrative forums.
  • Facilitate smooth resolution of legal, regulatory, or community-related issues.
  • Collaborate with external agencies during audits, investigations, and crisis situations.

Investigation of Complaints:

  • Lead investigations into internal complaints, including POSH cases, ethics violations, and fraud.
  • Ensure timely resolution in collaboration with HR, Legal, and Compliance teams.
  • Prepare comprehensive investigation reports with actionable recommendations.

Crisis and Emergency Management:

  • Design and implement business continuity plans and emergency response procedures.
  • Conduct regular mock drills to ensure preparedness for emergencies.
  • Act as the point of contact during crises, ensuring smooth communication and swift resolution.

This role is critical to ensuring a safe, secure, and compliant working environment while fostering trust and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
