Key Responsibilities:

1. Safety Planning and Implementation:

• Develop, implement, and maintain fire and safety protocols and policies specific to a manufacturing environment.
• Conduct fire risk assessments and recommend necessary actions.

2. Fire Prevention:

• Inspect fire safety equipment (extinguishers, alarms, sprinkler systems) regularly and ensure they are operational.
• Train staff on fire prevention, emergency evacuation procedures, and safe equipment handling.

3. Emergency Management:

• Create and update emergency response plans, including evacuation routes.
• Coordinate mock fire drills and emergency response exercises.

4. Regulatory Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with all applicable fire and safety regulations, codes, and standards.
• Prepare and maintain documentation for audits and inspections.

5. Accident Investigation:

• Investigate any fire-related incidents or safety breaches and prepare detailed reports.
• Recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

6. Awareness and Training:

• Organize regular fire safety workshops and awareness campaigns for employees.
• Mentor and train fire safety teams within the company.

7. Collaboration:

• Work closely with production and maintenance teams to ensure safety measures are integrated into daily operations.
• Liaise with local fire departments and safety authorities as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Diploma or certification in Fire and Safety Management.
• Minimum of 8+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setup.
• Knowledge of fire safety laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Strong observational and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and training abilities.
• Proficiency in maintaining detailed records and preparing reports.
• Ability to act decisively in emergencies and lead teams effectively.
