Job Description

JOB OVERVIEW: Chief Manager - SAP BASIS/Access Control

Experience on S/4HANA, Fiori, ECC, Web Dispatcher, Solution Manager and Windows based platforms with HANA Database, MSSQL, Max DB as databases in Migration, Upgrade, implementation and 24*7 production supports.

KEY STAKEHOLDERS: INTERNAL : Corporate Finance , Business Finance , SCM, Marketing, GBSS , Procurement , HR

KEY STAKEHOLDERS: EXTERNAL : Auditors, External Consultant

REPORTING STRUCTURE:

Will report to - General Manager - IT

Team size - NA

EXPERIENCE:

Manage user roles, authorizations.

Design, implement, and manage SAP security, roles, and authorizations for SAP R3, S/4HANA, Fiori, and other SAP applications.

Lead the implementation, configuration, and optimization of SAP Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) modules such as Access Control (AC), Process Control (PC), Risk Management (RM), and Audit Management

Monitor and ensure the effectiveness of SAP GRC solutions, providing guidance on risk management, audit controls, and regulatory compliance.

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of SAP BASIS professionals, sharing knowledge, best practices, and technical expertise.

Develop and implement backup, failover, and recovery strategies, ensuring SAP systems are resilient to outages and disasters.

Manage and execute SAP BASIS projects, SAP technical Support, system upgrades, system migrations, S/4 HANA Migration and new implementations.

Proficient in installation of SAP Business Suites, Netweaver components, Solution Manager, Web Dispatcher & BOBJ on Unix and Windows platform with post-installation activity

CRITICAL QUALITIES:

Certification in SAP Basis & Security preferred

Must have strong Oral, written, verbal and interpersonal skills.

Will go an extra mile for enhancing user experience

Excellent Knowledge of Basis, Security & GRC

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead the design, deployment, and management of IT infrastructure supporting SAP systems, including servers, storage, networks, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

Lead the design, configuration, and optimization of SAP system landscapes (SAP ECC, SAP PO, S/4 HANA), ensuring scalability, high availability, and integration across multiple SAP and Non-SAP systems.

Coordinate cross-functional teams (including SAP functional teams, infrastructure, and database administrators) to deliver end-to-end SAP solutions.

Ensure optimal performance of SAP systems by proactively identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks, implementing tuning measures, and enhancing system efficiency.

Continuously monitor system health, perform regular checks, and troubleshoot complex technical issues to maintain system stability and uptime.

Lead efforts to implement and maintain SAP security best practices, ensuring that user roles, authorizations, and system access are properly managed.

Oversee the application of security patches and system updates to mitigate vulnerabilities.

Lead initiatives for disaster recovery planning and high availability solutions to safeguard critical SAP systems and ensure business continuity.

Collaborate closely with SAP functional teams, project managers, business stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure seamless integration and alignment of SAP technical solutions with business objectives also to esure that the team is well-equipped to tackle technical challenges and meet project goals.

Technical drive for routine SAP BASIS System administrative tasks and system monitoring, improving operational efficiency and reducing manual intervention.

Implement process improvements to streamline SAP BASIS operations, making the environment more agile and responsive to business needs.

Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and SOD violation testing to identify and mitigate security risks.

Define and enforce business processes and workflows for access controls, segregation of duties (SoD), and continuous compliance monitoring.

Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with regulations like SOX, GDPR, and other industry standards.

To ensure and maintain 21 CFR Part 11 and EU Annex 11 controls for computerized system, as applicable.

To ensure training for self on Data integrity processes and ensure that Data integrity as per ALCOA+ requirements are meet performing activities.

To inform DI Champion/PPL Manager in case of Data integrity breach/issue.

Support DI Assessment, Risks identification, CAPAs related to IT applications & report any Data integrity breaches.

Any other tasks as assigned by reporting manager.

QUALIFICATION:

Graduate (BCA, B Tech, BE, BSc Computers + Postgraduate ) MCSE Certified
