We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Analyst to join our finance team.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of tax regulations, compliance, and reporting.
- This role involves analyzing tax data, preparing tax returns, and assisting with various tax related projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tax Compliance: Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Research and Analysis: Conduct research on tax laws, regulations, and industry trends to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
- Data Management: Analyze financial data and prepare detailed reports related to tax implications, credits, and deductions.
- Support Audits: Assist with tax audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries from tax authorities.
- Tax Planning: Collaborate with the finance team to identify tax-saving opportunities and support tax planning initiatives.
- Documentation: Maintain organized records of tax filings, correspondence, and relevant documentation for future reference and compliance.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and propose improvements to existing processes and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's / master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or other tax certifications preferred.
- 4+ years of experience in tax preparation and compliance, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
