Senior ETL Engineer

Job Description:
The position requires in-depth, hands-on experience with data warehouse ETL tools and technologies such as Ab Initio, Snowflake/Oracle, Control-M/Airflow, to support an ETL platform built on AWS. The role is part of the SIE PSS team that supports the current and next-generation warehouse platform to deliver a scalable, highly available operational warehouse platform to enable our customers and business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with developers and architects to advise on ETL standards and best practices.
• Provide operational support for the mentioned tools and technologies.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation.
• Collaborate actively with the onshore team.
• Work in an Agile environment to meet project milestones and deliverables.

Required Skills & Experience:

1. Application Expertise:

   • Strong knowledge of ETL Architecture and development (Ab Initio preferred, Informatica is also acceptable).
   • Expertise in Data Warehouse concepts and architecture.
   • Strong SQL knowledge (Snowflake, Oracle, MySQL).
   • Experience with Snowflake Warehouse (Snowpark, Snowpipe, Streamlit is a bonus).
   • Operations Support experience with the above-mentioned applications.
   • Willingness to work in UK shift timings.

2. Programming & Development Skills:

   • Good scripting skills (Unix, Python, etc. ).

3. Project-Level Activities:

   • Ability to work closely with developers and architects to define best practices.
   • Solid understanding of database architectures and data models.
   • Ability to create and maintain technical documentation.

4. Agile Methodology:

   • Exposure to working in an Agile project environment.

Good to Have:

• Knowledge of AWS Cloud (S3, Lambda functions, etc. ).
• Familiarity with AWS data services such as Lambda, EMT, Athena, Glue, Redshift, and Tableau.
