Role: Full Stack Developer (Java + Angular)

Experience Range:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in building Java & Angular applications in a service-based architecture.

Role Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer proficient in Java and Angular to support an existing system used firmwide within the Spend Management space. This role requires someone who is hands-on with both front-end and back-end service layers and can collaborate with the Product Owner, Tech Lead, and Business SMEs. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in functional and technical design, development, and migration, and should be comfortable working on both on-premise and cloud solutions. Additionally, the candidate should be able to mentor junior resources, provide technical guidance, and thrive in a dynamic environment.

Must Have Skills:

• Java (8+) : Strong hands-on experience in developing Java applications.
• Angular (16+) : Solid experience with Angular for front-end development.
• JavaScript, AngularJS, JSPs : Proficiency in JavaScript and older Angular versions.
• Spring & Spring Boot : Experience with these frameworks for building scalable, maintainable applications.
• REST APIs : Deep understanding and hands-on experience in developing and consuming RESTful services.
• JUnit : Experience in writing unit tests for Java code.
• SQL : Strong knowledge of SQL for data retrieval and manipulation.
• Version Control : Hands-on experience with version control systems (e. g. , Git).
• Build Integration : Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integration tools.
• Web Services : Strong background in building and integrating web services.
• OO Principles & Design Patterns : In-depth understanding of object-oriented principles and design patterns.
• Threading Techniques : Ability to work with multi-threaded Java applications.
• Problem Solving : Ability to address ambiguous situations and define technical approaches for resolution.
• Excellent Communication Skills : Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with business and technical teams.

Good to Have Skills:

• Financial Services Experience : Familiarity with financial services industry and applications.
• Database Knowledge : Experience with DB2 or Sybase is a plus.
• Test-Driven Development (TDD) : Exposure to or experience with TDD practices.
• Cloud Experience : Exposure to cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or similar) is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using Java, Angular, and related technologies.
• Work closely with the Product Owner, Tech Lead, and SMEs to define technical requirements and deliverables.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
• Participate in migration projects (on-premise to cloud) and ensure smooth transition of services.
• Collaborate across teams and handle both technical and business discussions effectively.
• Maintain high-quality standards in code delivery, testing, and documentation.
