Job Description

Independently analyse and develop applications in assigned area of responsibility on ERP/CRM systems. Design solutions under the supervision of an Architect along with managing a team

Outcomes:

  1. Develop technical documents such as Functional Design Specifications Deployment documentation
  2. Perform design document reviews peer code reviews and suggest code improvements
  3. A single point of contact for the build and deployment issues and resolve them on time
  4. Learn technology business/system domain and as recommended by the project/account
  5. Contribute to ERP/CRM Practice related activities like (but not limited to) assembling content for case studies contributing to reusability coordinating internal seminars and conduct knowledge sharing sessions organizing sessions during and participating in hackathons etc.
  6. Select appropriate technical options for development such as reusing improving or reconfiguration of existing components.
  7. Identify the problem patterns and improve the technical design of the application/system
  8. Optimize efficiency cost and quality.
  9. A self-learner implementing new features released in relevant technology wherever possible.
  10. Act creatively to develop applications and select appropriate technical options optimize application development maintenance and performance by employing design patterns and reusing proven solutions. Responsible for others developmental activities
  11. Interpret the application/feature/component design to develop the same in accordance with specifications.
  12. Code debug test and document and communicates product/component/feature development stages.
  13. Validate results with user representatives integrates and commissions the overall solution.
  14. Influence and improve customer satisfaction through things like (but not limited to) offering suggestions for code refactoring and improvements in business processes. complete sprint deliverables ahead of time helping client architects and product owners by way of design suggestions and/or explaining functionality to business stakeholders etc
  15. Influence and improve employee engagement within the project teams.
  16. Set goals in NorthStar and timely. measure progress and update accordingly.

Measures of Outcomes:

  1. Number of applicable technical/domain certifications completed
  2. Adherence to process and standards (coding standards)
  3. Number of mandatory trainings (industry/technology specific trainings UST mandatory trainings) completed
  4. Average time taken for turnaround on production bugs
  5. Adherence to schedule and timelines
  6. Contribution to RFPs and estimations in ERP/CRM Practice
  7. Number of Junior Leads who were guided and unskilled to lead a technical team.
  8. Number of technical sessions conducted within practice for the benefit of peers and team members.

Requirement:

  1. Understand the requirements/user stories


Estimate:

  1. Create and provide inputs for effort and size estimation and plan resources for projects.
  2. Follow scrum ceremonies.


Design:

  1. Contribute to creation of design (HLD
    LLD
    SAD)/architecture for Applications/feature/Business Components


Configuration and Coding:

  1. Define coding standards
    templates and checklists. Perform code review of team members


Test:

  1. Create and review unit test cases
    scenarios and execution
  2. Review test plan created by testing team
  3. Provide clarifications to the testing team


Manage Defects:

  1. Perform defect RCA and mitigation
  2. Identify defect trends and take proactive measures to improve quality


Manage Project:

  1. Manage delivery of modules and/or manage user stories


Documentation:

  1. Create/review templates
    checklists
    guidelines
    standards for design/process/development
  2. Create/review deliverable documents. Design documentation
    test cases and results


Status Reporting:

  1. Report status of tasks assigned
  2. Comply with project related reporting standards and process


Manage knowledge:

  1. Contribute project related documents
    share point
    libraries
    client universities
  2. Review the reusable documents created by the team


Release:

  1. Execute and monitor release process


Interface with Customer:

  1. Clarify requirements and provide guidance to development team
  2. Present design options to customers
  3. Implementation reviews with stakeholders.
  4. Work closely with customer architects to finalize design


Domain relevance:

  1. Advise software developers on design and development of feature / component with deeper understanding of the business problem being addressed for the client.
  2. Learn more about the customer domain and identify opportunities to provide value additions to customers
  3. Complete relevant domain certifications


Manage/Mentoring Team:

  1. Set goals and provide feedback
  2. Understand aspirations of team members and provide guidance

    1. Thorough knowledge of coding best practices; understanding the limitations of coding
    2. Experience using data loading tools.
    3. Experience on production deployment and solving deployment errors.
    4. Knowledge of Agile Methods - Scrum and Kanban.
    5. Experience in integration with external systems using SOAP API REST API etc.

    Band - B2; 1 Principal Software Engineer - Exp 8-12 years of experience in technical roles, must be hands-on in Salesforce development, architecture, delivery As part of the development team and as a Salesforce Principal/Architect, you will have the opportunity to take ownership and drive the delivery of high-profile business solutions. In addition, you would: Lead and mentor a team of Salesforce developers and administrators, fostering collaboration and technical excellence. Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure the team delivers high-quality solutions on time. Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient Salesforce solutions using Lightning Web Components (LWC), Apex, triggers, asynchronous Apex, and batch jobs. Perform API integrations and develop innovative solutions aligned with business needs and best practices. Act as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, gathering and analyzing business requirements. Translate business needs into technical solutions and provide clear communication throughout the project lifecycle. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between technical solutions and business objectives. Take ownership of end-to-end project delivery, ensuring timelines, quality standards, and client expectations are met. Proactively address challenges, manage risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success. Who are we looking for? 8-12 years of experience in technical roles, must be hands-on in Salesforce development, architecture, and project delivery. Strong expertise in Lightning Web Components (LWC), Apex, triggers, and asynchronous Apex (batch jobs, future methods, queueable classes). Must have hands-on experience with Salesforce API integrations (REST, SOAP, etc. ). Strong understanding and hands-on experience on DevOps tools like GitHub, GearSet, and CI/CD pipelines is must. Experience using FormAssembly is highly desirable. Proficiency in Salesforce configuration: flows, email integrations, roles, sharing rules, and security models. Proven experience working with Marketing Cloud, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud. Demonstrated experience in managing teams and delivering complex projects. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Salesforce certifications such as Application Architect, System Architect, or Platform Developer II are highly desirable.
