Job Description

Under the supervision of a Senior Lead analyze and develop applications in assigned area of responsibility on ERP/CRM systems and design solutions.

Outcomes:

  1. Optimise efficiency cost and quality by identifying opportunities for automation/process improvements and agile delivery models
  2. Learn technology business/system domain and as recommended by the project/account
  3. Contribute to ERP/CRM Practice related activities like (but not limited to) assembling content for case studies contributing to reusability coordinating internal seminars and conduct knowledge sharing sessions organizing sessions during and participating in hackathons etc.
  4. Identify the problem patterns and improve the technical design of the application/system
  5. Select appropriate technical options for development such as reusing improving or reconfiguration of existing components.
  6. Independently analyze design develop and test functionalities
  7. Develop technical documents such as Functional Design Specifications Deployment documentation
  8. Perform design document reviews peer code reviews and suggest code improvements
  9. A single point of contact for the build and deployment issues and resolving on time
  10. Responsible for code/configuration changes to production environment to resolve any issues post production move
  11. Independently manage client environments/perform installation related activities
  12. Perform root cause analysis technical troubleshooting architecture resolve performance issues
  13. Mentor juniors for client discussions and day to day activities and basic administrative tasks
  14. Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
  15. Influence and improve customer satisfaction through things like (but not limited to) offering suggestions for code refactoring and for small improvements in business processes. complete sprint deliverables ahead of schedule; helping client architects and product owners by way of design suggestions and/or explaining functionality to business stakeholders etc
  16. Self-learning and implement new features released in ERP/CRM wherever possible.
  17. Set goals in NorthStar and timely measure the progress and update accordingly.

  1. Number of applicable technical/domain certifications completed
  2. Adherence to process and standards (coding standards)
  3. Number of mandatory training (Industry/Technology specific trainings UST mandatory trainings) completed
  4. Quick turnaround of production bugs
  5. Adherence to schedule / timelines
  6. Number of mid-size requirements solutioned and implemented

  8. Number of innovative industry/technology specific ideas submitted
  9. Number of positive feedback received from client (client appreciation emails)

Requirement:

  1. Understand the requirements/user stories


Estimate:

  1. Estimate time
    effort
    resource dependence for ones own work and for others work
    including for modules. Follow scrum ceremonies.
  2. Participate in preparing RFPs and estimations in ERP/CRM Practice


Design:

  1. Understand the design/LLD and link it to requirements/user stories


Configuration and Coding:

  1. Adhere to coding standards and follow ERP/CRM best practices. Develop code independently.
  2. Review code done by peer and team.


Test:

  1. Create and conduct unit testing.
  2. Test class coverage above 95%.


Manage Defects:

  1. Perform defect RCA and mitigation
  2. Identify defect trends and take proactive measures to improve quality


Client Interaction:

  1. Effectively interact with customers and articulate their inputs


Manage Project:

  1. Manage delivery of modules and/or manage user stories


Documentation:

  1. Create/review templates
    checklists
    guidelines
    standards for design/process/development
  2. Create/review deliverable documents. Design documentation
    requirements

    5. Knowledge in integrating ERP/CRM with external systems using SOAP API REST API etc.

    Key Responsibilities: SAP Payroll Configuration and support systems for US Payroll, including schemas, rules, and wage types. o Integrate SAP Payroll with BSI Tax Factory to manage accurate payroll tax calculations. o Ensure proper handling of earnings, deductions, taxations, and exemptions. o Ensure payroll schemas, rules, and wage types are functioning correctly within the system. o Verify accurate handling of earnings, deductions, taxations, and exemptions. o Perform ongoing maintenance of system configurations to meet business and compliance needs. System Testing & Issue Resolution: o Conduct thorough testing of the implemented SAP Payroll solution, identifying data and feature issues. o Troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies in payroll calculations, tax compliance, and system integrations, payroll processing issues, taxation discrepancies, and integration errors. o Validate BSI Tax Factory and TUFS configurations for accuracy and compliance. o Provide technical and functional support to payroll business teams and end-users. Reconciliation Processes: o Design and implement comprehensive reconciliation processes to ensure payroll accuracy and data consistency. o Reconcile payroll data across SAP systems, third-party integrations, and financial reports. o Prepare detailed reconciliation reports for payroll audits and compliance checks. US Payroll Tax Compliance: o Stay updated on federal, state, and local tax regulations, ensuring payroll compliance. o Manage TUFS (Tax Update Factory Settings) updates to maintain tax accuracy. System Upgrades & Maintenance: o Implement and test SAP HR Support Packages (HRSPs) and TUFS updates. o Perform payroll system upgrades, enhancements, and patches. o Conduct end-to-end payroll testing to ensure accurate results after updates. Process Optimization: o Identify and implement process improvements in payroll operations, leveraging SAP best practices. o Work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance payroll efficiency. Documentation: o Prepare and maintain detailed documentation for configurations, processes, and updates. o Create user manuals and provide training to payroll teams as required, Qualifications & Experience: Technical Skills: Strong expertise in SAP HCM Payroll (US Payroll) configuration and support. In-depth knowledge of BSI Tax Factory and TUFS integration, configuration, and updates. Experience with SAP Time Management, schemas, and payroll rules. Familiarity with integration of SAP Payroll with third-party systems and other tools. Functional Skills: Comprehensive understanding of US payroll processes, taxation regulations, and compliance. Knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations, including garnishments, FICA, FUTA, SUTA, etc. Experience handling payroll audits, year-end activities (W-2, W-4), and reconciliations. Professional Experience: Minimum 10+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Payroll for US operations. Proven experience in managing payroll system upgrades, TUFS updates, and HRSP implementations. Exposure to complex payroll environments for large-scale employee bases is a plus. Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex payroll issues. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while being proactive and self-motivated.
