Asst. Manager/ Deputy Manager - Procurement Planning-SCM (Baramati)

Job Summary

You will be responsible for all the activities related to procurement planning and scheduling of raw material to ensure timely delivery to production with uninterrupted supply of material and seamless plant operations

Key Deliverables, Core and functional competencies and Key Success Factors

Planning the Production and ensure to accommodate various constraints of capacity availability and material availability

Ensuring uninterrupted and timely flow of incoming materials from suppliers as per the specified requirements to ensure there is no production loss

Overseeing activities of team to ensure the output is achieved as per defined monthly production plan based on sales target.

Efficient and timely scheduling for minimum inventory for local as well as imported items.

Working closely with Production and purchase team to keep control on inventory and reduce inventory delays

Driving cost saving and optimization culture through lean management practices in stores and warehouses.

Sharing information and timely updates to various internal and external stake holders along with necessary support for related activities to ensure timely implementations of different projects

Communicating effectively and disseminating KPIs to the team drawn out from the strategic annual plan along with setting clear expectations and deliverables with clear deadlines.

Developing team through functional and managerial leadership and effective talent management by playing an instrumental role in upskilling, guiding, and coaching the team.

Fostering a team and collaborative culture within and across teams for promoting employee and organizational growth.

Demonstrating Business Acumen through a strong hold on standards of excellence and adopting benchmark practices during the execution of work

Should possess strong technical knowledge to provide sound and insightful recommendations in area of expertise to stakeholders and team members

Ability to achieve results against defined internal and external standards of excellence with a passion for improving the delivery of services and focus on continuous improvement.

Good interpersonal skills with ability to design and implement strategies effectively to influence team members and stakeholders toward the accomplishment of set targets goals

Qualification and Work Experience:

BE Mechanical / Automobile / Production

MBA or Course in material management

Experience 8- 15 yrs. of experience in areas of production planning, scheduling, material procurement. Preferred Industry Experience Automobile or manufacturing industry and Auto Ancillary and engine production companies

Proficient in SAP MM, PP module & Microsoft Excel , Microsoft Access / VBA Macros

Knowledge of Inventory Analysis , ITR Calculations & Inventory Budgeting

Knowledge of supply chain process & scheduling activities

5S, Six sigma Methodology and Quality systems

LEAN methodologies

Knowledge of supply chain process & scheduling activities.

Knowledge of Inventory Analysis , ITR Calculations & Inventory Budgeting

Knowledge of various Manufacturing process (Lead time & logistics parameter settings etc.
