Piping and Plant Engineer - PP/PDH/U&O

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Piping and Plant Engineer to oversee the design, engineering, construction, and commissioning of piping systems in our Propane to Polymer (PP), Propane Dehydrogenation (PDH), and Utilities & Offsites (U&O) facilities. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all piping systems comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and project requirements from FEED through EPC and operational phases.

Key Responsibilities:

Piping Design & Engineering:

Review and approve piping layouts, isometrics, P&IDs, and 3D models for PP, PDH, and U&O facilities.

Ensure compliance with ASME, API, ANSI, ASTM, and other piping standards.

Oversee stress analysis, material selection, and pipe routing for process and utility systems.

Project Management & Coordination:

Work closely with FEED & EPC contractors to ensure smooth execution of piping design and construction.

Coordinate with process, mechanical, civil, electrical, and instrumentation teams for plant integration.

Manage vendors and subcontractors for piping material supply and fabrication.

Construction & Commissioning:

Supervise installation, welding, and testing (hydrotesting, NDT) of piping systems.

Ensure adherence to safety protocols, HAZOP, and risk assessments.

Support pre-commissioning, commissioning, and plant startup activities.

Utilities & Offsites (U&O) Expertise:

Oversee piping for cooling water, firewater, steam, nitrogen, air, fuel gas, and chemical dosing systems.

Ensure proper interconnection of process and utility pipelines in U&O facilities.

Compliance & Documentation:

Ensure compliance with international codes & standards (ASME B31.3, B31.1, API 570, 650, etc.).

Prepare and review technical reports, specifications, and scope documents.

Qualifications & Experience:

✔ Bachelors degree in mechanical / Piping / Chemical Engineering or equivalent.

✔ 11-16 years of experience in piping & plant engineering for petrochemical, refinery, oil & gas, or large-scale chemical plants.

✔ Strong expertise in Piping Design, P&IDs, Piping Stress Analysis, Material Selection, and 3D Modelling.

✔ Experience in FEED, EPC, and commissioning of PP, PDH, or similar process plants.

✔ Proficiency in piping software (e.g., Caesar II, AutoCAD, Smart Plant, PDMS, E3D, Navisworks).

✔ Knowledge of international design codes & safety regulations.

✔ Strong communication and leadership skills for contractor coordination.
