Citrix L1 Professional

Virtualization Administrator (L2) is responsible for Integrating Citrix virtualization solution technologies together while ensuring that, Applications or content published on XenApp are enabled for use in accordance with an environments security policies and are accessible through a number of access scenarios, including multiple Web Interface sites and Access Gateway/NetScaler. Also responsible to install or manage HyperV/VMware infrastructure on defined Hardware.

Grant Access to users in accordance with policies from internal and external locations

Performance management of published resources in Citrix.

Migration of Citrix from old farms to new farms

Installation and configuration of other virtualization products like HyperV/VMware etc.

Create and update user guides and operation documents

Patch and perform maintenance for servers on a scheduled and unscheduled basis.

Implementation and configuration of new Chassis enclosures

Service Support

Managing, monitoring, scaling and implementing large enterprise level Citrix application virtualization environments

Creating and updating incidents accordingly within the ticket tracking system with detailed incident and resolution information. Notifying appropriate personnel and customers (internal and external) upon issue resolution.

Resolve most complex issues related to Citrix components (Web Interface/Storefront, XML Broker, Load Evaluator, IMA/FMA, and Datastore etc.).

Manage Citrix Data store, license servers, and Zone Data Collectors.

Managing policies within CITRIX environment

Create Configuration and operational document.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Education

Graduation or 3 years Polytechnic Diploma or equivalent. Certification in Citrix will be preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 4 years of experience in implementing, deploying and supporting medium to large scale Citrix environments also HyperV & VMware infrastructure.

Knowledge & Skills
(Functional/Technical)

• In-depth knowledge of Citrix including XenApp 6.x and XenServer.

• Apart from Citrix XenApp, understanding of other core Citrix Components with related to Microsoft Technologies like Active Directory and Terminal Services is Mandatory.

• Experience with Citrix and HyperV/VMware virtualization products and technologies

• Reviews and follows-up with IT team members on a daily basis concerning open requests.

• Good knowledge in Edgesight configuration & Reporting.

• Good knowledge in Citrix Printing.

Leadership / Managerial Attributes

Mentoring Juniors. Documentation with regards to SOP, Procedures, Knowledge management, Infrastructure related documentation.

Other Requirements
