Certifications in database management (Oracle DBA, Microsoft SQL Server, AWS Certified Database - Specialty) are preferred.
Work Experience:
5-10 years of experience in database design, management, and administration.
Expertise in database technologies like SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MS SQL Server) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis).
Strong knowledge of database architecture, performance tuning, and query optimization.
Experience with data migration, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.
Familiarity with cloud databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database, Google Cloud SQL) and big data solutions.
Experience with data security practices (encryption, access control, auditing) and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR).
Exposure to DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized databases (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

Responsibility:
Database Design & Architecture Design scalable, secure, and high-performance databases that meet business needs.
Database Performance Tuning Monitor, optimize, and improve database performance, ensuring fast query execution.
Data Security & Compliance Implement encryption, access control policies, and audit mechanisms to protect sensitive data.
Backup & Recovery Manage backup strategies, disaster recovery plans, and high availability configurations.
Data Migration & Integration Oversee data migration, integration between systems, and ensure data consistency.
Cloud & Distributed Databases Implement and manage cloud-based databases and distributed data systems.
Database Automation Automate routine database operations, including backups, updates, and scaling.
Collaboration with Development Teams Work with software developers to design optimized database queries and ensure proper database integration.
Incident Resolution & Support Troubleshoot database issues, provide L2/L3 support, and implement corrective actions.
Adoption of Emerging Tech Stay updated with cloud-native databases, AI, and machine learning integration into database systems.
