Job Description
- Develop, maintain, and manage advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards and other BI solutions using Power BI.
- Perform and document data analysis, data validation, data mapping/design, by accessing multiple sources, specifically Power BI and Azure Synapse.
- Conduct QA/QC on reports generated from Power BI and other reporting tools to ensure accuracy and consistency as per business requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Participate in business analysis activities to gather required reporting and dashboard requirements.
- Translate business requirements into QA-specifications that will be used to implement the required reports and dashboards.
Responsibilities
- 7-10 years of experience in a similar role.
- Proven experience as a BI Developer or Data Scientist, with a focus on Power BI platform.
- Background in data warehouse design (e.g. dimensional modeling) and data mining.
- Understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework.
- Knowledge of SQL queries.
- Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative.
- Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude. Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new skills.
- Working knowledge of agile development, including DevOps and DataOps concepts.
Qualifications
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams
- Ability to manage multiple projects and report simultaneously across different stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Certification in Power BI or other BI tools is a plus.
- Experience in a QA/QC role, preferably in a reporting or data analysis context.
