Senior Data Scientist - Dynamic Pricing (8-10 yrs)

We are seeking a talented Senior Data Scientist - Dynamic Pricing with a passion for solving business problems through the creation and management of dynamic pricing models.

In this role, you will lead the innovation and support of our dynamic pricing program, directly impacting growth, profitability, and overall efficiency.

You may have the opportunity to navigate the complexities of dynamic pricing in a constantly changing market, using our rich database of millions of data points to build and maintain effective pricing strategies.

The position will also be expected to mentor 1-2 data scientists

Location - Pune

Experience - 8+ years

Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and implement advanced dynamic pricing models using statistical modeling, machine learning, and optimization techniques.

- Analyze large datasets to identify key pricing drivers, develop relevant features, and build predictive models.

- Rigorously validate and evaluate dynamic pricing models to ensure accuracy, robustness, and performance.

- Develop and implement price optimization algorithms to maximize revenue, market share, or other business objectives.

- Design and execute A/B tests and other experiments to evaluate the impact of pricing strategies and iterate on model performance.

- Continuously monitor and maintain dynamic pricing models, identifying and addressing any issues or performance degradation.

- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (e.g, product, marketing, sales) to understand business requirements and communicate model insights.

- Mentor and guide junior data scientists in dynamic pricing techniques and best practices.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in dynamic pricing and related fields.

- Explore and evaluate new modeling techniques and technologies.

- Create and maintain clear and concise documentation for dynamic pricing models, methodologies, and results.

Required Skills :

- Strong understanding of statistical modeling and machine learning techniques, including regression, classification, time series analysis, and reinforcement learning.

- Experience with optimization algorithms and techniques for price optimization.

- Proficiency in data analysis and feature engineering using tools like Python (with libraries like Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn), R, or similar.

- Strong programming skills in Python or R.

- Proven experience in developing and implementing dynamic pricing models.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
