Cyber Security Specialist - Microsoft Defender (7-12 yrs)

Job Location: - Pune

Work Mode: - 3 Days WFO

Key Responsibilities :

- Implement and manage security controls for Mac devices using tools like Jamf.

- Ensure the security posture of Mac devices by implementing and enforcing security policies, including device encryption, password policies, and application whitelisting.

- Monitor and respond to security incidents related to Mac devices.

- Implement and manage endpoint security solutions to protect company devices from malware, ransomware, and other threats.

- Utilize advanced hunting capabilities within MDE (including Threat & Vulnerability Management and advanced hunting queries) to identify and respond to threats.

- Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate security risks.

- Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation plans to address identified vulnerabilities.

- Develop and maintain security policies and procedures.

- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including malware infections, data breaches, and other cyber threats.

- Collaborate with IT teams to implement and maintain security incident response plans.

- Stay up-to-date on the latest cybersecurity threats and best practices.

- Research and evaluate new security technologies and tools.

- Contribute to the development and improvement of security awareness programs.

Qualifications & Experience :

Education :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience :

- 7-12 years of professional experience in cybersecurity with a strong focus on Mac device security.

Skills :

Essential :

- In-depth knowledge of Mac device security best practices and technologies.

- Strong experience with Mac endpoint security solutions (Jamf).

- Experience with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (including TVM and advanced hunting queries).

- Strong understanding of security assessment and risk management methodologies.

- Experience with vulnerability scanning and penetration testing tools.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred :

- Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions for iOS devices.

- Experience with cloud security solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems.

- Industry certifications (CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH)
