Job Summary:
The Strategy Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the company. This role involves conducting in-depth market research, market mapping, and value chain analysis. The Strategy Manager will also analyze demand and price drivers for both finished goods and raw materials, identify opportunities for operational improvements, and manage key strategic projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze the value chain of the company's food products to identify key players, processes, and value-adding activities.
- Perform market mapping to understand market segmentation, customer needs, and potential growth areas. Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, opportunities, and threats.
- Develop understanding of competitive landscape, their growth plans, strategic roadmap etc.
- Assess demand, supply and price drivers for finished goods to support pricing strategies and supply chain decisions
- Regularly assess and report price and availability scenario in short term and long term for key raw material and develop strategies for risk mitigation or opportunity leverage
- Identify and evaluate opportunities for operational improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Program manage key strategic projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Identify future products and discuss with internal team. Provide support to plant team to coordinate with experts, customers, suppliers, technology providers etc.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement initiatives and monitor progress.
- Develop long term and short term strategic business plan and monitor progress on the approved strategies
- Provide support in periodic performance management for the business
- Attend trade fares, conferences and exhibitions to understand the future trend
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management to support decisionmaking.
- Stay updated with industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in strategy, market research, or a related field within the B2B sector.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and market trends.
- Excellent project management skills with a track record of successfully managing strategic projects.
- Proficiency in market research tools and methodologies.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- High level of initiative and ability to work independently.
