Senior Executive - Ethics & Compliance / Mumbai

Role & responsibilities

• Fraud & Financial Investigations: Lead investigations into allegations of financial misconduct, fraud, and irregularities by analyzing financial data, records, and transactions in compliance with Indian accounting standards and regulations.
• Forensic Tools: Utilize specialized forensic tools and techniques to analyze digital data, uncover fraud, and investigate misconduct, with an understanding of Indian tax laws and financial reporting practices.
• Reporting & Documentation: Prepare clear, detailed reports on investigative findings, including data analysis, patterns, and conclusions, in accordance with Indian legal and corporate standards.
• Data Analysis: Review both financial and non-financial data to identify discrepancies, fraud patterns, or other irregularities.
• Ethics & Compliance Oversight: Ensure adherence to company policies, Indian corporate governance standards, and ethical guidelines, and identify any potential ethical risks or violations under Indian regulations.
• Record-Keeping: Maintain comprehensive documentation of all investigative procedures, findings, and evidence, ensuring compliance with internal policies and Indian legal requirements.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in forensic tools and software for digital data analysis and investigation, with knowledge of Indian financial regulations and tax laws.
• Attention to Detail: Strong ability to identify discrepancies, fraud patterns, and irregularities in complex datasets.
• Ethics Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Indian corporate governance and compliance standards.
• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and concisely.
• Added Advantage: CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) certification.
