Main Roles and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Chief Product Officer and other product stakeholders to understand the short term / long term roadmap and oversee the day-to-day planning and implementation of each project.
- To put the product's concept into a format that developers can understand, ensuring they fulfil the product stakeholder's requirements.
- Build the right team structure and creating an effective layer of the leads to drive the project deliverables successfully.
- Lead and guide the team in decision making on SDLC, POC, UX/UI, QA practices etc.
- Working alongside the Head of Delivery Operations to ensure the setting goals for each team member to ensure timely project delivery.
- Providing guidance to the team by setting the coding standards and ensuring they adhere to it.
- Ensuring adherence to software development methodologies and best practices.
- Work with the Head of Delivery Operations in Conducting performance evaluations and career development discussions.
- Identifying training and skill development needs for the team.
- Work closely with the Head of Delivery Operations to develop and scale the team quickly within an ambitious growth strategy.
Experience and Skills Required:
- Already grown and headed up a team of 10 or more developers (preferably in a startup).
- Experience in leading coaching and mentoring a team of developers.
- Extremely focused on code quality and code security.
- Worked previously as a developer with a deep understanding of code logic and design.
- An understanding of SaaS and SaaS architecture (Preferable).
- Worked for a security vendor (Preferable).
- Excellent spoken/written English / communication skills.
- Complete accountability for the product UI / Code.
- Experience in building briefs, plans and high-level architecture.
- Process driven / oriented, confidence in making decisions and raising objections.
- Creative Thinking solution oriented.
- Experience of inheriting an already established production team.
- Experience with Scrum and agile methodologies.
- High level understanding of core technologies such as PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JS, JQuery, Bootstrap, Ajax, Restful API (any framework).
- Net Core, ASP.net, ADO.net, Dot Net, webAPI, SQL.
- Ability to communicate efficiently with other departments within the business.
- Must be a team player and work well under pressure
