Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced IP Billing Executive to manage inpatient billing processes, including online submission of ECHS (Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme) and CGHS (Central Government Health Scheme) claims, and resolution of billing-related queries. The role involves ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant billing processes to support smooth hospital operations and patient satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Online Submission of Claims:

• Audit and submit IPD bills for ECHS and CGHS patients using the respective online portals.
• Track and ensure timely submission and acknowledgment of claims.
• Maintain comprehensive records of submitted claims, supporting documents, and acknowledgments for audit purposes.

Query Resolution:

• Respond promptly to queries or discrepancies raised by ECHS, CGHS, or patients regarding submitted bills.
• Liaise with the concerned departments to gather additional information or documentation required to resolve billing issues.
• Follow up on pending claims to ensure resolution and payment.

Documentation & Compliance:

• Ensure all documentation related to IP billing is complete, accurate, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with medical, finance, and administrative teams to reconcile billing discrepancies.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure billing accuracy and compliance.

Reporting & Analysis:

• Generate regular reports on claim status, pending bills, and payments received.
• Analyze trends in billing queries and rejections to recommend process improvements.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1-5 years of experience in hospital IP billing, particularly with ECHS and CGHS schemes.
• Proficiency in hospital billing software and online claim submission portals for ECHS and CGHS.
• Strong knowledge of billing guidelines and documentation requirements for IPD patients.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to handle queries effectively.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in handling insurance and government healthcare scheme billing processes.
• Knowledge of TPA (Third-Party Administrator) processes.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and hospital workflows.
