Job Description (Senior Accountant):
Bank:
Bank statement reconciliation every week
Petty cash maintenance, including vouchers
Company cheque books with signed leaves and updated index at all times
Management updation:
Cr and Dr updated and checked to management once every 15 days
P and L preparation and sharing to management every 1st of the month
Plan a monthly business forecast with the management, implement it, it, and monitor it.
Records Maintenance:
Sales, Purchase, Expense files, E way bills, Debit and Credit notes, etc
Purchase Orders, Proforma Invoices,Delivery challans files
Maintain a file with proper index; and safe storage off all documents
Export / Import:
Export Invoice, Packing List, Shipping Bills, B/L and BOE etc
Apply for Export incentive and follow up till closure
Always ensure that Export / Import documents are processed and filed
Inventory Management:
Plant and Machinery inventory + Office Assets Inventory
Stock inventory checking and submission to bank every month
Check and maintain company assets
Statutory:
Employee salary statement by 5th of every month
PF / ESIC / PT / TDS remittance as per schedule
Ensure staff salaries and final settlements are paid promptly
Other payments:
GST filing as per scheduled dates; also GSTR1, GSTR-3B and GSTR-2B
Chits payments on time and maintaining a file of outstanding, dividends etc
Keep a schedule reminder and ensure the company is making on-time payments
Coordination with CA office for clarifications and processes
Ensure rent, TDS, PT, GST payments are on time
Loan statement sheets to be updated and discussed with management
Other activities:
Check and identify areas of potential savings and ways to avoid wastage and pilferage
To be updated with the latest financial rules as per the authorities
Attending to tax authorities notices and responding appropriately
Digital signatures of firm, companies and individuals tracking and renewing
Ensure renewal of office insurance, vehicle insurance, and AMCs is done as per schedule
Implement and monitor BOM procedures
Extra activities as and when required by the management
