Software Development Engineer - Test - Selenium/Java (5-11 yrs)

Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with expertise in Selenium and Java. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts, ensuring the quality of software applications through comprehensive testing frameworks. This role requires strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for test automation.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and Java.

- Develop and enhance test automation frameworks for web and mobile applications.

- Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.

- Collaborate with software developers, QA engineers, and product managers to understand requirements and define test strategies.

- Execute automated test suites and analyze test results, identifying and reporting defects.

- Maintain CI/CD pipelines and integrate automated tests into the development workflow.

- Ensure best practices in test automation, including code reviews and adherence to coding standards.

- Investigate and resolve automation failures, debugging scripts, and improving test coverage.

- Develop and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.

- Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- 4+ years of experience in test automation using Selenium and Java.

- Strong programming skills in Java, with experience in writing clean and efficient test scripts.

- Experience with test automation frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, or Cucumber.

- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, Docker, etc.).

- Knowledge of REST API testing and tools like Postman or RestAssured.

- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.

- Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner) is a plus.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
