Job Title: Atlassian Product Expert Jira DC/Cloud Migration Specialist
Location: Bangalore, Karnataka

Employment type: 6 months to 1 yr on a contractual period

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Atlassian Product Expert with a deep understanding of Jira Data Center (DC) and Jira Cloud environments, coupled with significant expertise in migration projects. As a senior-level specialist, you will play a pivotal role in designing, managing, and optimizing Atlassian solutions, particularly focusing on complex migrations and delivering scalable Jira implementations tailored to organizational needs.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Atlassian Product Expertise

• Provide strategic and technical leadership for Jira DC and Jira Cloud implementations.
• Design, configure, and customize Jira environments to meet enterprise-level requirements.
• Serve as the primary subject matter expert on Jira features, functionality, and best practices.

2. Migration Projects

• Plan, lead, and execute seamless migrations between Jira DC, Jira Cloud, and other environments.
• Conduct migration assessments, including gap analysis, risk identification, and remediation planning.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance throughout migration processes.

3. Solution Architecture

• Develop scalable, efficient Jira solutions that align with organizational workflows and objectives.
• Integrate Jira with third-party tools and other Atlassian products (Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.).
• Define governance policies and standards for Jira usage and administration.

4. Stakeholder Engagement

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide tailored Jira solutions.
• Partner with business stakeholders to optimize workflows and enhance team productivity.
• Act as a trusted advisor for executives and decision-makers on Atlassian-related strategies.

5. Advanced Administration and Support

• Manage Jira instances, including installation, upgrades, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Implement and maintain custom workflows, scripts and automation.
• Provide advanced support for end-users and resolve critical issues efficiently.

6. Training and Mentorship

• Lead training sessions for administrators and end-users to maximize Jira adoption.
• Mentor junior team members on Atlassian tools and best practices.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Jira DC and Jira Cloud, including at least 3 years in migration.
• Migration Expertise: Proven track record of managing end-to-end Jira migrations, including Jira DC to Cloud.
• Technical Skills:
• In-depth knowledge of Jira administration, workflow customization, and permissions management.
• Proficiency in scripting with tools like ScriptRunner, PowerShell, or Python.
• Strong understanding of Atlassian Access, Insight Asset Management, and other Atlassian tools.
• Integrations: Experience with integrating Jira with other systems
• Certifications (Preferred):
• Atlassian Certified Expert or Atlassian Certified Jira Administrator.
• Any relevant cloud migration certifications.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with large-scale enterprises or global teams.
• Hands-on experience with Atlassian Marketplace apps like Tempo, Advanced Roadmaps, EazyBI and other plugins.
