Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee and manage accounting operations for an assigned team. The role involves handling end-to-end accounting tasks, including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of accrual accounting, month-end processes, and managing a team, with a focus on real estate portfolio financials and investor accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage month-end closing activities, including variance analysis, and prepare financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Perform self-review of financials and critical tasks done by the team, providing guidance and support.
• Prepare and manage budgeting, cash management, and portfolio-level financials for real estate companies and investors.
• Handle investor accounting activities such as distributions, contributions, and equity infusions.
• Produce executive summaries and dashboards for senior management, summarizing financial performance and key insights.
• Provide audit support, assist in financial projections, and prepare detailed reports as required.

Required Skill Set:

• Strong accounting knowledge in accrual accounting, including month-end provisions, revenue-expense matching, and balance sheet management.
• Team leadership experience managing a team of 3+ members for at least one year.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros, and conditional formatting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in email correspondence and client conference calls.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy across accounting tasks.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative team player.
