Senior Accounts Executive

Role & responsibilities

1. Accounting Management:
   
• Oversee daily accounting operations related to import and export transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
2. Financial Reporting:
   
• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for import and export accounts.
• Analyze financial data and variances to provide insights to management.
3. Compliance and Regulations:
   
• Ensure adherence to tax laws, financial reporting stanpliance in import/export regulations.
• Coordinate with external auditors during audits and ensure timely resolution of any issues.
4. Cost Analysis:
   
• Conduct cost analysis for imports and exports to support pricing strategies and profitability assessments.
• Monitor and optimize import/export costs, ensuring accurate recording of expenses.
5. Accounts Payable and Receivable:
   
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes specific to import/export activities, including invoicing and payment processing.
• Follow up on outstanding invoices and manage cash flow.
6. Documentation and Record Keeping:
   
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all import/export transactions, including invoices, shipping documents, and customs documentation.
• Ensure all accounting records are up to date for compliance and auditing purposes.
7. Collaboration:
   
• Work closely with logistics, procurement, and sales teams to ensure smooth and accurate accounting processes.
• Serve as a point of contact for internal teams regarding import/export financial queries.
8. Improvement Initiatives:
   
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within accounts management related to imports and exports.
• Implement best practices for financial reporting and accounting processes.
9. Team Leadership:
   
• Mentor and train junior accountants or accounting staff working with import/export accounts.
• Provide guidance and support for skill development within the team.
10. Technology Utilization:
    
• Utilize accounting software and tools effectively to streamline operations and reporting.
• Stay updated on advancements in accounting software and technology related to import/export finance.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as CA (Chartered Accountant), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) are highly desirable.
