Abinitio Developer - ETL/Metadata (6-12 yrs)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ab Initio Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in Ab Initio GDE components and related tools, as well as strong knowledge of Unix/Linux shell scripting. The role involves working on end-to-end data integration projects, building scalable ETL solutions, and ensuring seamless data flow across systems.

Key Responsibilities :

Ab Initio Development :

- Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows using Ab Initio GDE components.

- Create and optimize Plans, Express>It templates, and Query>It solutions.

- Leverage Metadata Hub for data governance, lineage tracking, and metadata management.

- Implement reusable components to ensure development efficiency and consistency.

Data Integration and ETL :

- Collaborate with data architects to design data integration solutions for complex systems.

- Work on high-performance data pipelines for large-scale data processing.

- Optimize ETL processes for scalability and performance.

Unix/Shell Scripting :

- Develop, test, and maintain Unix shell scripts for process automation and job scheduling.

- Debug and troubleshoot scripts and workflows in a Unix/Linux environment.

- Monitor and resolve issues in batch processing and production environments.

Collaboration and Support :

- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data architects, analysts, and QA teams.

- Provide production support for Ab Initio workflows and scripts.

- Document technical designs, processes, and troubleshooting guides.

Best Practices and Standards :

- Ensure adherence to coding standards, version control, and documentation practices.

- Proactively identify areas of improvement in existing systems and processes.

- Stay updated with the latest Ab Initio features and industry trends.

Required Skills and Experience :

Technical Expertise :

- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Ab Initio GDE and its components.

- Advanced proficiency with Ab Initio tools: Plans, Express It, and Metadata Hub.

- Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting.

Data Handling :

- Experience in handling large datasets and implementing ETL solutions.

- Familiarity with data governance, data lineage, and metadata management.

Problem-Solving :

- Strong analytical and debugging skills to address technical challenges.

- Ability to troubleshoot issues in complex workflows and optimize performance.

Communication and Collaboration :
