Abinitio Developer/Engineer (5-8 yrs)

Key Responsibilities :

AbInitio Development :

- Expertise in AbInitio GDE (Graphical Development Environment) for building and developing data integration workflows.

- Hands-on experience with basic and advanced components in AbInitio to design and implement scalable and efficient ETL processes.

- Customize Metadata Hub and Conduct It for optimized job execution and workflow management.

- Utilize PDL (Programming Development Language) for data transformation and integration.

Unix Shell Scripting :

- Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Unix shell scripts to automate processes and manage data integration tasks.

- Proficient in basic Unix commands and working with Unix-based systems for data manipulation and job execution.

SQL Development :

- Strong proficiency in SQL with hands-on experience, preferably in IBM DB2 or other Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS).

- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).

Team Leadership and Collaboration :

- Lead a team of developers, providing technical guidance and ensuring the completion of projects within deadlines.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, design solutions, and implement best practices.

Problem Solving :

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to AbInitio workflows, Unix scripting, and SQL queries.

- Analyze and optimize workflows for better performance and scalability.

Communication and Reporting :

- Effectively communicate technical details to stakeholders and senior management.

- Prepare reports, document workflows, and provide updates on project progress.

Key Requirements :

Technical Skills :

- Expertise in AbInitio product suite, specifically GDE, PDL, Dependency Analysis, Conduct It, and Metadata Hub customizations.

- Strong experience with Unix shell scripting and basic commands.

- Proficient in SQL with experience in IBM DB2 or other RDBMS.

- Knowledge of data integration and ETL processes using AbInitio.

Soft Skills :

- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with teams and stakeholders.

- Strong problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.

- Demonstrated team leadership experience, guiding developers and managing tasks effectively.

Experience :

- Minimum 4+ years of experience working with the AbInitio suite and related technologies.

- Proven experience in data integration and ETL development using AbInitio and Unix scripting.

Certifications (Preferred) :

- AbInitio or related technical certifications are a plus but not mandatory
