What Youll Do :

Team Leadership :

- Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing data engineering team.

- Support the professional growth and development of team members.

Data Strategy & Infrastructure :

- Develop and implement a comprehensive data engineering strategy.

- Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and robust infrastructure.

- Drive the implementation of data governance policies, rules, and data quality frameworks.

Collaboration:

- Partner with data science, analytics, and product development teams to ensure data availability and reliability.

- Promote cross-functional collaboration to integrate data into decision-making processes.

Innovation & Optimization:

- Continuously improve tools, technologies, and practices for data engineering.

- Explore and incorporate machine learning and AI technologies into data systems.

Compliance & Security:

- Ensure data security, privacy, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

- Manage data governance initiatives for better regulatory alignment and risk mitigation.

Resource Management: Oversee team budgets and resource allocations to meet organizational goals effectively.

Who You Are :

Youre a strategic thinker with a passion for data engineering and a proven ability to lead in dynamic environments. If you have:

- 15+ years of experience in data engineering, with 5+ years in a leadership role.

- Expertise in data architecture, data modeling, and ETL processes.

- Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or Scala.

- Experience implementing large-scale data lake solutions using big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Fabric, GCP, Databricks).

- A Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Strong problem-solving, strategic thinking, and communication skills.

- Knowledge of logistics, telematics, or supply chain industries is a plus.
