About the Role :
Join our dynamic team as a Research Manager, where you will lead our 'Agriculture, Food & Beverages & Consumer Goods' research vertical. You will be responsible for defining strategy, supervising delivery, and driving growth for the domain. This role demands a high level of ownership, including P&L management, leadership of a research team, and direct engagement with Fortune 500 clients.
Key Responsibilities :
Strategic Leadership :
- Develop and execute strategies to grow syndicated research, custom research, and databases.
- Take full P&L and annual target responsibilities for your domain.
- Set and maintain high standards of productivity, guiding and motivating your team to meet ambitious goals.
Team Management & Mentorship :
- Manage a cross-functional research team across multiple practice areas/industries.
- Recruit and onboard top talent, establishing domain-specific hiring processes.
- Mentor and groom team members, providing regular feedback and development plans.
- Lead performance appraisals and identify training needs to ensure continuous improvement.
Client Engagement :
- Collaborate with Fortune 500 clients to understand and fulfill their research requirements.
- Author whitepapers thought leadership articles, and market insights to showcase expertise in the Agriculture, Food & Beverages domain.
Content & Delivery :
- Identify trending topics and market opportunities for in-depth research studies.
- Deliver high-quality, on-time reports and ensure the final output meets client expectations.
- Coordinate with other Research Managers to align team efforts with broader organizational objectives.
Market Intelligence & Innovation :
- Stay updated with industry trends, competitive landscape, and best practices in forecasting, data analysis, and visualization.
- Incorporate new methodologies and tools to enhance research quality and efficiency.
Required Qualifications & Experience (Non-negotiable) :
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Market Research.
- At least 5 years of domain-specific market research experience in Agriculture, Food & Beverages, or Consumer Goods.
- Proven track record of P&L ownership for syndicated research, databases, or custom research, with evidence of significant business growth.
- History of working with Fortune 500 clients on complex research projects.
- Prior experience managing a research team across multiple industries or practice areas.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and data interpretation skills.
- Exceptional communication skills in English-both written and verbal.
- Proven ability to work under tight deadlines with speed and consistency.
Desired Skills:
- Hands-on experience with forecasting and visualization techniques.
- Time management expertise and keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Networking skills that can help build and strengthen client relationships.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (preferred).
