Role Overview :

We are looking for a FileMaker Lead Developer with expertise in FileMaker Pro and FileMaker Server, along with advanced AppleScript and Python scripting skills. The ideal candidate will lead development, manage projects, and recruit the right team to scale our FileMaker solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

Development & Technical Leadership :

- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of FileMaker Pro/Server applications.

- Implement advanced AppleScripts for automation and workflow enhancements.

- Utilize Python scripting to integrate FileMaker with external APIs and databases.

- Optimize FileMaker solutions for performance, security, and scalability.

Project & Team Management :

- Handle end-to-end project execution, ensuring timely delivery.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into functional solutions.

- Hire, train, and mentor a FileMaker development team, ensuring high technical standards.

- Define best practices, coding guidelines, and maintain technical documentation.

Integration & Automation :

- Develop custom FileMaker scripts and layouts to enhance usability.

- Connect FileMaker with third-party services (e.g., REST APIs, cloud platforms, SQL databases).

- Automate data processes using AppleScript, Python, and FileMaker calculations.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 5+ years of experience in FileMaker Pro/Server development.

- Expertise in AppleScript for automating macOS workflows within FileMaker.

- Strong proficiency in Python for API integrations and automation.

- Experience leading projects and managing development teams.

- Familiarity with FileMaker WebDirect, Claris Connect, and FileMaker Go.

- Knowledge of SQL, JSON, and REST API for data integrations.

- Experience with UI/UX design in FileMaker to improve user experience.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
