Job Description
- 6+ years of experience in software industry working on design, development and delivery of highly scalable performant, and secure services/modules.
- Experience in developing customer-focused architectures and restful web services. Understanding of Micro Services architecture and API design
- Experience in architecture, engineering, deployment, and operational management of services
- Strong working knowledge in Java or similar JVM based OO languages
- Work with modern JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as React, Angular, and Bootstrap
- Experience with container orchestration like Kubernetes/Docker Swarm/Mesos
- Experience driving security reviews, documentation, UX reviews, and working with Product Managers through the entire launch process
- Experience with at least one scripting language for automating tasks, proof of concept work, or command line tools
- Good understanding of testing methodologies.
- Experience with observability tools like Spunk, New Relic, etc.
- Good understanding of versioning tools like Git/SVN.
- Knowledge/Experience with Ruby on Rails
- Hands-on experience developing services on a public cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Azure, Oracle)
- Work with large volumes of data and logging
- Understanding of key performance indicators and how to dig into them
- Experience and understanding of multi-AZ and regional data centers
- Building continuous integration/deployment pipelines with robust testing and deployment schedules
- Experience working with internal customers and translating requests into prioritized work or features
- As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. Define specifications for significant new projects and specify, design and develop software according to those specifications.
- Design and build distributed, scalable, and fault-tolerant software systems.
- Build cloud services on top of the modern OCI infrastructure.
- Participate in the entire software lifecycle, from design to development, refining the architecture by providing feedback and suggestions, reviewing code, managing releases, driving DevOps, to quality assurance, and to manage operations of the software assets in production.
- Invest in the best engineering and operational practices upfront to ensure our software quality bar is high.
- Leverage a plethora of internal tooling at OCI to develop, build, deploy, and troubleshoot software.
