Software Development Manager

As a Manager of Software Development, you will own and manage a team of software engineers responsible for the software architecture and development for major components of Oracle s Cloud Infrastructure. You will be responsible for planning, designing, developing and executing software designs & solutions, working in collaboration with architects, customers and technical program managers to achieve this goal. You should be comfortable with diving deep to solve technical problems while at the same time have the ability to think big and provide the vision for the technology space. You should value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn.

Basic Qualifications:

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding or equivalent practical experience
• Knowledge of full life-cycle software engineering practices including coding standards, testing, project management and operations.
• 5+ years of experience in developing cloud or online services
• 3+ years of experience leading a team of software engineers.
• Proficiency in technical system design, operational best practices and a major object-oriented programming language
• Systematic problem-solving approach, strong communication skills, a sense of ownership, and drive

• Strong in problem solving abilities.
• Hands-on experience developing services on a public cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Azure, Oracle)
• Experience working in an operational environment with mission-critical tier-one livesite servicing
• Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills including the ability to communicate complex, interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences.
