Learning Management System (LMS Developer/Manager)

Role & responsibilities

• Work with Instructional Design team in understanding the content structure and building course content in the LMS. Ex: adding lectures, video, assessments, project directions, and activities for new courses.
• Revise existing course content via course content software based on feedback
• Responsible for second-level support of learning management system (LMS) content, date restrictions, master course and section creation, assessments/test banks, course revisions, etc.
• Responsible for creating and managing the QA checklist and guidelines document.
• Capable of performing the QA testing logically, and determining the root cause of issues raised internally and externally by clients.
• Research Virtual Library, Internet, and publisher resources to support learning outcomes in credit-bearing college courses.
• Document all the major issues from internal and external reviews and share the learnings on a regular basis.
• Provide Quality Assurance and adherence to copyright and intellectual property guidelines.
• Research multi-media software and make recommendations
• Work on multiple LMS projects simultaneously

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters degree or related discipline
• 3+ years of experience working in any of the LMS tools like Blackboard, Canvas, D2L, Sakai etc.
• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS and Javascript
• Excellent working knowledge of learning management systems and eLearning technology
• Has excellent decision-making abilities and takes the initiative to ensure projects adhere to deadlines.
• Work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Works collaboratively and effectively with others
• Demonstrates the ability to manage time and resources
• Organizes work effectively and pays meticulous attention to detail and tasks
• Demonstrates the ability to prioritize and focus on multiple projects
• Integrates technology and champions new technology
