Staff Engineer I - Signal and Power Integrity

As an Alphawave Semi Signal and Power integrity engineer, you are responsible for providing technical SI/PI support to customers using our IPs . In this role, you will provide responses in supporting the customers integration in pre silicon stage. In addition, you will regularly engage with internal RD team to satisfy the customers application and constantly improve the customers experience.

What Youll Do

• You will provide post-sales Signal and Power integrity support to customers worldwide for Ethernet ,PCIe, UCIe and other SerDes Ips
• Assisting to resolve complex Signal and Power integrity issues as part of SerDes IP integration
• Conducting and/or reviewing SI/PI simulations
• Reviewing customer PCB/PKG designs and provide improvement guidance
• Sign off SI and PI collateral (CPMs ,IBIS-AMI, Etc..)
• Work closely with RD and provide updates to PM/AEs

What Youll Need

• Bachelors in computer science or Electrical/Computer Engineering or Engineering Science
• 7+ years of SI/ PI experience
• PCB and PKG design, advanced technologies, materials and manufacturing techniques.
• System simulations with IBIS-AMI /Hspice
• PDN planning/design/simulation
• Knowledge of EDA tools and a strong understanding of simulators and 2.5D/3D solvers (HFSS, Keysight ADS, MATLAB, SiWave, etc.)
• Familiarity with SerDes architectures and process technology

• Experience working with lab equipment such as high speed oscilloscopes, TDR/VNA
• Experience with Jira, Agile/Scrum, Confluence
• Masters/PhD in Computer Science or Electrical/Computer Engineering or Engineering Science
