Should Costing Engineer - Wire Harness

Primary Responsibilities

• Estimate costs for electrical components such as wire harnesses and control panels.
• Define wire harness Assembly and testing processes.
• Calculate part assembly costs and identify cost drivers.
• Data analysis to generate cost reduction idea
• Conduct teardown and benchmarking analysis for cost optimization.
• Propose feature enhancements and cost-effective component alternatives.
• Analyze supplier-provided cost data to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
• Develop and maintain detailed Excel-based costing templates.

Mandatory Skills

• Experience in Harness assembly process.
• Experience in cost estimation for electrical components.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel.

Added advantage

• Experience in Cables manufacturing process.
• Experience in PCBA manufacturing process.
• Exposure to Supply Chain Management (SCM) or Procurement.

Education

• Bachelors degree in electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering.

Experience

• 6 to 8 years of experience in cost estimation for electrical components.
