Onward Technologies - Senior Java Developer - Spring Frameworks (6-9 yrs)

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provides technical mentoring for teams

- Seeks opportunities for continuous improvement in the areas of process, tools, technical debt, product quality, reliability and availability and leads the implementation efforts

- Works independently, receives minimal guidance

- Works closely with team to ensure task completion, coordinates work activities with stakeholders - Architects, product and project management

- Analyze, design and develop software or software components, solve on-going problems with the choice of coding language

- Requires a comprehensive understanding of a range of processes, procedures, systems, and concepts within own job discipline - AGILE processes and practices, effective usage of the engineering tracking tool such as Rally/Jira

- Help troubleshoot issues, Problem Solving, providing objective feedback to software development /engineering teams

- Provide ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements in existing systems and platforms

QUALIFICATION:

- A Master's degree/Bachelors in a computer science or computer engineering or ECE/IT/IS/STEM

REQUIREMENTS:

- 7 - 9 years of related software development / engineering experience

- Demonstrated scripting or developing software for the cloud with multiple coding languages for application development using Java, Springboot, Restful Services, Spring framework,

- Good knowledge of SQL

- Experience in core Java-Multithreading, collections, Servlets and JDBC.

- Strong skills in OOP programming, data modeling and database design.

- Basic knowledge of JavaScript, Angular

- Must be a good team player

- Demonstrated problem solving ability and is results orientated

- Experience in AGILE Software development and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). Tools like Rally

- Strong oral and written communication skills.

- Excellent knowledge of version control systems like Gitlab, Jenkins

- Hands on experience testing/debugging software and providing solutions

- Self-motivated, quick learner, results-oriented, good problem-solving skills and a clear focus on quality.

- Effective oral and written communication skills; ability to articulate clearly and concisely

- Working knowledge on Python and/or Perl will be considered as an add-on.
